TEDxBroadway: The reviews are in ...

Well, hello!

We've been a bit radio silent since we last met up in February. But, that's only because we've been taking stock of all of the emails, phone calls and feedback we've received from TEDxBroadway 2018. And, we thank you for that!

Turns out -- to paraphrase Sally Field -- you liked it, you really, really, liked it. The one word we heard over and over again that summed it up: "inspirational!"

And, really, that's our goal.

Here's what the community said:

  • It was a fun experience, very inspirational, and made me so proud, optimistic, and excited to be a part of this industry.

  • Very inspirational and productive discussions that keep us focused on the future of our careers and this industry.

We were also grateful to hear this:

"Listening is important. TEDxBroadway brings the community together as a whole, we sit together, listen together and learn together. I feel there is great value in hearing thoughts and opinions of other people from other walks of life, from other industries, with life experiences that differ from mine. Our industry is tiny bubble, TEDxBroadway expands that bubble each year."

Full disclosure: We also had some feedback that wasn't so positive:

"Better food options!" and "it was too long." Ouch. Fortunately for us, we learned a thing or two from past TEDxBroadway speakers Kelly Leonard and Rachelle Pereira on the topic of feedback. (We highly recommend everybody watch their talks!)

But, the not-so-positive feedback is just as important, if not more so, because now we'll add it to our considerations as we plot for the 2019 event.

So, if you haven't shared your thoughts with us about the event, we'd love to hear them. Feel free to reach out to us at Contact@TEDxBroadway.com. We're always open to your ideas.

Cheers,
Damian and Jim
