Deaf West Theatre's DJ Kurs says magic happens when people set aside their perceived limitations and come together with those who are different from them. Deaf West's 2015 revival of Spring Awakening marked a lot of firsts: the first Broadway musical performed simultaneously in spoken English and sign language; the first time an actor in a wheelchair starred on Broadway; and the first Broadway credit for 23 of the show's stars.
